Location: Kisumu Reports To: Retail Supervisor Job Purpose The Sales Attendant will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a fast-paced airport retail environment. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who can engage travellers, promote products and services, and uphold high operational standards. Key Responsibilities Engage customers professionally and provide prompt, courteous service at all times Actively promote and sell company products and services to meet and exceed sales targets Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions based on their needs Handle transactions accurately, including cash and electronic payments Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the work area Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs in a timely manner Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and company policies Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively and professionally Support team members to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours Participate in daily briefings, promotions, and performance improvement initiatives Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Daily and monthly sales targets achievement Customer satisfaction and service quality ratings Accuracy in cash handling and transactions Product/service knowledge and upselling effectiveness Adherence to operational and compliance standards Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of a Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service (airport or hospitality experience is an added advantage) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment High level of integrity and professionalism Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays Key Competencies Sales and negotiation skills Customer-centric mindset Attention to detail Teamwork and collaboration Problem-solving ability Reliability and accountability
