PFL is a member of Industrial Promotion Services (K) Ltd (IPS) group of companies, which is the industrial and infrastructure arm of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), an international development agency dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and building economically sound enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa as well as Central and Southern Asia.Reporting to Key Accounts Executive-HORECA, the Business Development Executive will ensure effective planning, drive company set revenue targets, bring on board new business, re-activate dormant accounts. He/ She is also expected to support the organization’s Mission, Vision and values. The main duties and responsibilities for this position entails: - Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned accounts by utilizing fact-based selling method and acquire new accounts in hotels, restaurants & institutions. Identify market potential in order to establish new accounts, achieve service sales volume, revenue and profitability goals. Maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate pricing and contracts with customers so as to provide products and services that meet standards of quality, timeliness and cost. Conduct monthly business review meetings to keep track of performance and customer financial health List the new range of Horeca products in order to keep up with our competitors. Manage returns effectively and efficiently to reduce financial losses to company and principal. Process all principals’ returns during every visit to ensure effective returns management. Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans whilst understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s goals. Debt control by ensuring collection of payments in time. Manage consistently high service level in the trade to ensure company and customer satisfaction. Timely delivery of customer’s order and address challenges that might cause any delay to the satisfaction of the customer and the trade. Frequent visits and or communication to customers in a more consistent and prescribed sequence and record feedback at each visit. Implement monthly journey plans and have weekly reviews and feedback. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or any business-related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG with HORECA experience. Energetic and aggressive personal selling experience with wide sales network. Must possess driving skills with a valid driving license
