Our Vision To become an integrated Centre of Excellence in Management Advisory, Training and Organizational Development within Eastern and Central Africa.Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking to recruit a SCM Assistant to support effective inventory, procurement, warehousing and supply chain operations. The role will be responsible for monitoring supply chain processes, ensuring compliance with established policies and controls, analysing inventory data, supporting CAPEX management, and driving continuous improvement across supply chain operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor compliance with procurement, inventory, warehousing and asset management policies and procedures across operating companies. Conduct quarterly compliance reviews, CCM audits and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) assessments. Identify and investigate process deviations and coordinate implementation of corrective actions. Prepare weekly and monthly inventory analysis, reports and management insights. Support delivery planning and supply chain activities for strategic partners. Track deliveries, invoicing, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), move orders, capitalization and project closure activities. Monitor CAPEX utilisation and outstanding/open purchase orders. Prepare monthly CAPEX reports and analysis. Analyse merchandise inventory movements and identify variances or trends. Monitor goods-in-transit and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Monitor repair and return processes and support end-of-life asset recovery initiatives. Support compliance with Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC) requirements and the organisation’s Code of Conduct. Support training and sensitisation of suppliers, warehouse partners and internal stakeholders on supply chain processes and controls. Identify opportunities for automation, process standardisation and continuous improvement across supply chain operations. Prepare relevant reports and provide data-driven insights to support supply chain decision-making. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain such as CIPS or equivalent will be an added advantage. At least 2–4 years’ relevant experience in supply chain, inventory management, procurement, logistics or a related environment. Practical experience in inventory analysis, stock movement monitoring and supply chain reporting. Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain/procurement modules. Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present inventory and supply chain data. Experience in monitoring purchase orders, deliveries, GRNs, invoicing and goods-in-transit. Understanding of CAPEX tracking, asset management and supply chain controls. Good understanding of procurement, warehousing and inventory management processes. Experience in compliance monitoring, audits, risk assessments or process controls will be an advantage.
