Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Kitengela ward, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the efficient running of all business functions. This role includes managing production workflows, supervising staff, and coordinating with community partners and suppliers to maintain quality and sustainability standards. The General Manager will develop and implement business strategies, monitor financial performance, and support sales and marketing activities to drive growth. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve setting operational targets, tracking performance, resolving operational issues, and maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role requires close collaboration with leadership to align operations with Tuwe Bora Limited’s mission of sustainable, community-powered fashion. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in operations or general management, ideally within fashion, manufacturing, or social enterprise environments. Proficiency in planning, organizing, and coordinating teams and resources to meet production and business targets. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and basic financial reporting. Effective leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for working with staff, community partners, and suppliers. Ability to design and improve processes, implement policies, and ensure adherence to quality and sustainability standards. Comfort using digital tools for reporting, scheduling, and documentation; familiarity with basic office software. Business Administration, Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Commitment to ethical, sustainable practices and interest in community-driven initiatives. Ability to work on-site in Kitengela ward and adapt to a dynamic, growing organization.
