Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is a global management consulting firm that helps people make significant improvements to their business performance and realize their most important career goals.Job Purpose This position will be responsible for managing transit shipments through the Port of Mombasa, with a primary focus on cargo destined for Uganda, while also supporting movements into Rwanda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Key Responsibilities Transit Operations Management Manage end-to-end customer service for transit shipments through the Port of Mombasa. Coordinate customs clearance, transport planning, and cargo movement into Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, and the DRC. Provide customers with timely shipment updates and proactive communication. Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with transporters, customs authorities, shipping lines, border agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement. Monitor shipment milestones and resolve operational issues promptly to minimise delays. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with transit procedures, customs regulations, and company SOPs. Maintain accurate operational records and prepare customer reports where required. Continuous Improvement Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. Other Duties Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification and Experience Education Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Clearing & Forwarding, or a related field. Experience Minimum of 3–5 years’ experiencein freight forwarding/clearing and forwarding operations. Demonstrable experience managing transit cargo through Mombasa into Uganda is essential. Good understanding of transit procedures for Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, and the DRC. Knowledge of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya TradeNet, and regional transit documentation is an added advantage. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of customs clearance and transit documentation processes. Familiarity with regional transit corridors. Core Competencies Customer-centric mindset.
