JOB TITLE INVENTORY CLERK

**JOB LOCATION **NAIROBI

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Processing

·       Receive and process customer payments via cash, mobile money, or card.

·       Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.

·       Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.

·       Reconcile daily sales with accounting records.

Customer Service

·       Provide courteous and professional service to customers at checkout.

·       Handle customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

·       Maintain a positive shopping experience by ensuring efficiency at the counter.

Record Keeping & Reporting

·       Maintain accurate transaction logs and submit daily reports.

·       Assist in preparing cash summaries for the finance department.

·       Report discrepancies or irregularities in payments immediately.

Compliance & Controls

·       Follow company policies on cash handling and fraud prevention.

·       Ensure compliance with accounting and audit standards.

·       Safeguard company funds and maintain confidentiality of financial data.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.

·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory or warehouse management.

·       Hands-on experience with inventory systems and reporting tools.

·       Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.

·       High attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Good communication and teamwork abilities.

·       Strong time management and multitasking skills.
