Job Title: Script Writer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly creative, imaginative, and detail-oriented Script Writer to craft compelling narratives for our client. In this role, you will be the backbone of our storytelling, conceptualizing and drafting original scripts for [e.g., YouTube videos, commercials, television, or digital campaigns]. You will work closely with our production and creative teams to translate rough ideas into polished, production-ready screenplays. A highly detailed aspect of this role involves not only writing dialogue and pacing the action, but also conducting thorough research to ensure authenticity. You will be expected to create dynamic character arcs, structure engaging narrative beats, and format all work to industry standards. Ultimately, your scripts will captivate our target audience, align with our brand voice, and drive our overall content strategy.

Job Responsibilities

Script Development: Conceptualize and write engaging, high-quality scripts tailored to our specific media formats. Collaboration: Brainstorm story ideas, themes, and character development with directors, producers, and the wider creative team. Research: Conduct deep research into various subjects to ensure factual accuracy, realism, and authenticity in every script. Dialogue & Pacing: Craft realistic, compelling dialogue that advances the plot and accurately reflects character personalities. Revisions: Actively participate in script readings and rewrite/refine scripts based on feedback and direction from key stakeholders. Formatting & Continuity: Maintain consistency in storytelling and ensure all scripts are properly formatted according to professional industry standards. Project Management: Juggle multiple writing projects and adhere to strict production deadlines without compromising on quality.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, English, Communications, Film, or a related field is highly preferred. Proven professional experience as a Script Writer, Screenwriter, or Copywriter (minimum of 3-5 years required). Exceptional narrative development skills with a deep understanding of pacing, structure, and visual storytelling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas, pitch concepts, and take constructive criticism. Strong familiarity with scriptwriting software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx, or Fade In). A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of scripts or produced work. Flexibility to adjust writing styles to suit various target audiences and changing project requirements.
