Role Description

This is a contractor (commission-based) hybrid Salesperson role based in Kenya, with a mix of on-site client visits and remote work. The Salesperson will identify and qualify prospective customers, including individuals, employers, and healthcare partners, and conduct product demonstrations of AfyaMeet’s digital health solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, scheduling and attending meetings, preparing proposals, and following up to close deals. The role involves maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, tracking performance against targets, and reporting on sales activities and market feedback. The Salesperson will collaborate with marketing, customer support, and product teams to improve messaging, enhance customer experience, and support customer onboarding and retention.

Qualifications

Proven skills in lead generation, prospecting, and closing sales, ideally in technology, healthcare, or related services. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain digital products clearly to diverse audiences. Experience managing a sales pipeline using CRM tools, including tracking activities, forecasting, and reporting on key metrics. Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships, handle objections, and provide professional follow-up. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between field visits, virtual meetings, and remote work. Understanding of or strong interest in digital health, telemedicine, or healthcare service delivery in the Kenyan context. Self-motivated, target-driven mindset, with resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, growing startup environment. Fluency in English and Kiswahili, with the ability to communicate respectfully and inclusively with people from diverse backgrounds.
