Job Title: Project Assistant / Coordinator
Location: Nyeri
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant / Coordinator to support project managers and PMO teams across multiple projects and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth project operations through effective coordination, reporting, documentation management, and administrative support.
The successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with daily project coordination and administrative activities Maintain and update project tracking sheets, timelines, and reporting documents Assist in project time tracking, reporting, and data entry tasks Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting notes, and track action items to completion Follow up with team members on project deliverables, deadlines, and status updates Organize, maintain, and manage project documentation and shared folders Support project reporting activities within project management systems and tools Ensure project information, records, and reports remain accurate and up to date Assist PMO teams with administrative support and reporting requirements Help improve workflow efficiency and support project process compliance
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other office tools
Qualifications & Experience
1–3 years of experience in project coordination, project support, administration, or related roles Exposure to Project Management Office (PMO) environments is an added advantage Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar platforms is preferred Experience supporting reporting, documentation, or administrative functions A diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred
