Job Function We are looking for responsible and reliable Delivery Driver to assist with deliveries, collections, and distribution of goods for our Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a positive attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
Key performance areas: Transport goods to various locations as required, ensuring timely deliveries and collections. Verify deliveries and collections by checking orders and delivery paperwork. Load and unload products in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all items are handled with care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and ensure proper documentation for each delivery and collection. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working order, performing basic maintenance checks (fuel, oil, tire pressure, etc.) and reporting any issues to the Fleet Manager. Ensure all safety procedures and traffic regulations are followed during operations. Report any damages or discrepancies to the relevant departments promptly.
Qualifications required: KCSE education Level in or a certificate in any related field. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record ABC.
Skills and experience required: Minimum of 6 years of experience in delivery driving, preferably within an FMCG or logistics environment. Good understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Previous experience in an FMCG company or similar industry is a plus. Ability to lift and carry heavy goods and load / unload products. Ability to manage delivery schedules and paperwork efficiently. Familiarity with local routes and areas. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
