On behalf of Huawei Kenya. We are looking for a results-driven Product Manager to lead solution sales and marketing for our Carrier IT product portfolio, which includes Cloud, AI, Storage, Big Data, Data Warehouse, and next-gen IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions. This role is responsible for aligning technical solutions with market needs, enabling sales growth, and driving customer engagement through tailored go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in both telecom and IT, with a focus on solution positioning and field-level support.
Key Responsibilities: Drive solution sales and marketing for Carrier IT offerings including Cloud, AI, Storage, Big Data, Data Warehouse, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions. Collaborate with Sales/Account teams to define value propositions and deliver compelling customer-facing messaging. Create and manage sales tools such as presentations, proposals, and competitive battle cards. Lead customer workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements to support business development. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform solution packaging and positioning. Work cross-functionally with R&D, delivery, and Frontline teams to align product capabilities with customer demands. Support proposal development, RFP responses, and participation in trade shows and industry events.
Required Experience in IT: Strong background in enterprise/telco IT with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Huawei Cloud, GCP). Experience with IT infrastructure, virtualization, and data centre technologies. Working knowledge of AI/ML, especially in telecom or enterprise use cases. Familiarity with Storage, DR, Big Data platforms and Data Warehouse tools. Understanding of delivery models, product strategy, and go-to-market execution. Ability to translate complex IT solutions into business value for telecom operators Required Education / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom and IT, focused on solution sales, product marketing, or presales roles. Proven ability to work across technical, commercial, and marketing functions. communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills Experience working with telecom operators, CSPs, or enterprise solution vendors. Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems or digital transformation initiatives in telco environments. Knowledge of pricing models, bundling, and customer segmentation for IT/telco services.
