Reporting: Reporting to the Area Manager Relationships: External & Internal customers employees) Location: Based at the Dog Section Role summary: Manage and supervise security dogs and dog handlers Key responsibilities Overall supervision of Dogs/Handlers - Effective deployment dog handlers for security operations, preparation of payment returns for the dog section unit Deployment of dogs - Deploy security dogs for security operations effectively Training - Ensure proper training, feeding and health of the security dogs Record keeping - Maintain records for the dogs section unit activities effectively Performance evaluation - Carry out performance evaluation of dogs and dog handlers Compliance with regulations - Implement company Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with Company regulations and policies Inventory - Maintain an up to date inventory of Dog section Qualification and Knowledge - Minimum of 3 years of experience on the same position - Strong leadership and supervisory skills - Physically fit - Knowledge of dog training and care - Cert in vetenary studies Skills & Attributes - Proven experience in Canine handling within a security set up - Leadership & supervision - Communication Skills - Reporting - Integrity
