CorpsAfrica was created to provide college-educated Africans with a transformative experience that enables them to participate in the development process in their countries and discover their role in todayâÂÂs world.OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: The Volunteer Liaison for CorpsAfrica/Kenya performs a variety of highly responsible and confidential duties. This field-based position manages a select number of Volunteers, supporting them through their CorpsAfrica service - emotionally, professionally and through their activities and projects. They work collaboratively with communities, partners and other stakeholders to support the Volunteers succeed in their service.. Specific Responsibilities: Provide consistent facilitation and support to Volunteers in the communities.. Serve as a coach for assigned Volunteers to excel in their service. Ensure Volunteer targets are fully attained. Maintain Volunteer records and reports. Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports on Volunteer activities and training. Cultivate and maintain cordial relationships with local Public Benefit Organizations, government officials, academia, banks and other relevant stakeholders. Participate in program resource mobilization Responsible for Volunteer Petty Cash accountability Assist with events, training, M & E and any other opportunities as they arise Any other responsibilities assigned by the Country Director and/or Deputy Country Director. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with at least three years of professional experience two of which should be in community development, youth programming or livelihoods. Demonstrated passion and commitment to youth leadership, participatory community development and impact evaluation Detail-oriented, results-oriented and organized Good at partnership development and resource mobilization Excellent speaking, writing, presentation, and computer skills Exhibit high integrity, accountability, and discretion in their work.
