Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership and management of the nursing department Ensure consistent delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centered care across all departments Develop, implement and monitor nursing policies, procedures and standards Supervise, mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance to drive performance and accountability Ensure optimal staffing levels and efficient deployment of nursing personnel Coordinate training, continuous professional development and capacity building Ensure compliance with Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) standards and other regulatory requirements Oversee infection prevention and control programs Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits and accreditation processes Manage departmental budgets, supplies and cost controls Collaborate with medical, administrative and support teams to enhance service delivery Qualifications & Experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) with a valid practicing license Minimum of 8–10 years’ nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven experience in hospital operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
