Sales Representative
Job Title: Sales Representative – Cold Chain & Temperature Monitoring (Kenya) Location: Nairobi (with frequent travel to Naivasha, Nakuru, Murang’a, Machakos, Mombasa etc.) Reporting to: Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities Promote and sell temperature recorders, data loggers, cold chain monitoring systems, humidity sensors to horticulture (flowers), fruit exporters (avocado, mango), cold stores, logistics, and food processing companies. Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets for new business and repeat orders. Identify and develop new clients across the flower belts (Naivasha/Nakuru), avocado (Murang’a), mango (Makueni), and pack houses. Conduct product demos, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, close sales, and follow up on payments. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (farm managers, quality managers, procurement). Provide after-sales support: basic technical advice, troubleshooting, and coordinate service teams. Monitor competitors and report market trends. Submit weekly sales reports, forecasts, and CRM updates.
Requirements Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Agribusiness. At least 3 years sales experience in Kenya: cold chain, refrigeration, agricultural inputs, instrumentation, or horticulture. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets. Deep knowledge of Kenyan flower/fruit export industry (Naivasha, Nakuru, Murang’a, Machakos) is a strong advantage. Excellent spoken/written English; Swahili is must. Strong presentation, negotiation, and customer service skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM. Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently (up to 70% in field). Self-driven, target-oriented, able to work independently.
What We Offer Basic salary:KSh 85000-120000 + commission 1% sales revenue+ allowances.
