CHG as a brand exists to provide preventive, promotive and curative and rehabilitative mental healthcare.Job Purpose We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Attendant. This role is critical in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients, and it includes responsibilities that require a valid driver’s license for patient transfers using hospital vehicles. Key Responsibilities Patient care assistance: Assist patients with daily activities, including feeding, grooming, and mobility, while maintaining dignity and respect. Monitor and report changes in patients’ behavior or condition to nursing staff. Transportation of Patients: Safely transport patients to appointments, therapy sessions, or other facilities using hospital vehicles. Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for use. Bed Making and room maintenance: Prepare and maintain patient beds and living areas to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Assist with light housekeeping duties as needed. Support during therapeutic activities and out of the hospital procedures: Accompany patients to recreational or therapeutic activities and out of the hospital procedures, providing support and supervision. Patient observation & safety monitoring Prevent unauthorized leave (elopement/absconding). Intervene to reduce risks of self-harm or harm to others. Document unusual behaviors or safety concerns for the clinical team. Assist in restraining patients when necessary, following proper guidelines.  Documentation: Record patient interactions, vital signs, and incidents accurately and promptly. Key Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
