The role centers on enhancing the child’s overall wellbeing, comfort, and development through assistance with daily routines, mobility, communication, and social engagement. Core Duties and Responsibilities Provide consistent, attentive care and supervision  Assist with daily activities such as feeding, personal hygiene, and toileting  Support safe movement, positioning, and physical comfort  Facilitate effective communication of the child’s needs and emotions  Encourage independence and development of essential life skills  Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment  Promote emotional, social, and behavioral growth through supportive interaction  Collaborate closely with parents or guardians to ensure continuity of care  Accompany the child to therapy sessions, medical appointments, or other activities as needed  Observe and report on progress, behavior, and any emerging concerns  Properly use assistive tools or equipment when required  Help manage transitions and maintain structured daily routines   Job Specifications and Qualifications At least two (2) years’ experience supporting children with special needs  Certificate or Diploma in Caregiving, Special Needs Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related discipline  Knowledge of sign language or alternative communication methods is an added advantage  Key Competencies Empathetic, patient, and attentive  Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality  Adaptable and flexible in dynamic care situations  Keen observation and problem-solving abilities  Effective communication and interpersonal skills  Calm and supportive under pressure Dependable, organized, and responsible
