Navitas is one of the world’s largest education providers and has helped generations of learners transform their lives through education.About the role The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting ECU's international student recruitment strategy across Africa, with a primary focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. This includes driving student recruitment outcomes, managing education agent relationships, representing ECU at recruitment events, leading conversion activities, and contributing market intelligence to support regional planning and growth. The role also supports broader business development initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and ECU-led delegations, executive visits, and strategic in-market initiatives across the region, working closely with the Regional Manager | Business Development and Partnerships, Africa to deliver aligned market growth strategies and priority initiatives. The position reports to the International Account Manager and works closely with colleagues from ECU, Navitas, Edith Cowan College (ECC), Schools, and external stakeholders to support enrolment growth and market development. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Conversion Deliver student recruitment outcomes across Africa in alignment with ECU's enrolment, revenue, and market growth objectives. Execute regional recruitment strategies and targeted conversion initiatives to strengthen pipeline quality and maximise enrolment outcomes. Represent ECU at exhibitions, school visits, partner events, and other high-impact promotional activities. Deliver engaging presentations and provide market briefings to prospective students, parents, counsellors, sponsors, and partners. Ensure timely, professional management of enquiries from prospective students and partners, including effective utilisation of Salesforce. Agent Management and Development Lead the performance, engagement, and development of ECU's authorised education agent network across the region. Strengthen agent capability through structured training, strategic engagement, and regular performance reviews. Monitor channel effectiveness, student quality outcomes, and market coverage, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new recruitment partners aligned with ECU's strategic priorities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partner engagement and activity within approved ECU systems. Market Development and Reporting Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and student demand to support sustainable growth across Africa. Monitor competitor activity, policy developments, and market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making. Contribute to regional marketing, recruitment, and business development plans. Prepare timely and insightful reports on market activity, travel outcomes, pipeline performance, and strategic opportunities. Support in-country activations, executive engagement, and strategic market initiatives. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure all recruitment activities comply with the ESOS Act, National Code, ECU policies, and Code of Conduct. Maintain high ethical standards in all interactions with students, agents, and stakeholders. Promote genuine student recruitment practices and proactively mitigate risks through effective market management. Safeguard and enhance ECU's brand and reputation through professional representation. Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including Austrade, schools, sponsors, and alumni. Collaboration Work closely with the International Account Manager, Regional Manager | Business Development and Partnerships, Africa, and wider ECU teams to deliver regional objectives. Coordinate with Navitas and Edith Cowan College (ECC) to ensure alignment in strategy, messaging, and in-market execution. Contribute to cross-functional projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and team capability development. Provide leadership and guidance across regional recruitment activities as required. Key Capabilities Proven ability to deliver student recruitment results in a competitive, target-driven environment. Strong relationship management skills with education agents and stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and competing priorities. Confident public speaker with the ability to present to diverse audiences. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce. Strong commercial acumen and market development capability. Solid understanding of the international education sector and student recruitment landscape. Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience in international student recruitment, marketing, or business development. Desirable Experience working with Australian education providers. Familiarity with the African market and international education landscape. Knowledge of the Australian student visa system and regulatory environment. Background in event management, marketing, partnership development, or agent relationship management. Additional Requirements Valid passport. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including outside standard business hours. Ability to manage physical aspects of event logistics (e.g., lifting materials, standing for extended periods).
