Role Title: Senior System Administrator / Automation Engineer (DevOps Focus) Location: Nairobi, Kenya (On-site) Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior System Administrator located in Nairobi. We are not looking for a standard IT admin; we are searching for a true technology enthusiast who lives and breathes system architecture. Our ambitious core objective is the maximum automation of all operational and IT processes. You will be responsible for building, managing, and automating our internal systems, servers, and deployment pipelines. Key daily tasks include eliminating manual workflows through scripting, managing Linux environments and containerized infrastructure, and administrating enterprise management platforms. You will work closely alongside our dedicated Network Engineering team, focusing purely on systems reliability, seamless integrations, and infrastructure automation. Qualifications & Mindset The Mindset: A highly systematic thinker with a passion for efficiency. You must be deeply committed to the profession, self-driven, highly adaptable, and capable of continuous self-learning in a fast-paced environment. Automation First: Strong DevOps mindset with proven experience in configuration management, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or similar). Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python or Bash) to build tools and automate routine tasks. System Administration: Deep, hands-on expertise in Linux server administration, virtualization, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Enterprise Platforms: Practical experience in administrating, configuring, and integrating the Zoho ecosystem is required.
