The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing efficient Capital Markets in Kenya.INTERN – MARKET SUPERVISION – 1 POSITION Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable) Reporting to the Deputy Director Market Supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for; Conducting onsite and offsite inspection activities in accordance with risk-based supervision methodologies and approved plans and preparing reports; Assisting in conducting risk-profiling activities for regulated persons and preparing reports; Maintaining a database on compliance by regulated entities with regulatory requirements; Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and detailed electronic information database for regulated persons and periodically perform trend analysis; and Conducting research on best practices on market supervision including AML/CFT practices. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Law (LLB), Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, ICT, Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics & Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution. Key skills, Knowledge & Competencies Professional and personal integrity; Communication and interpersonal skills; Report writing skills; and, Attention to detail.
